Traditional cultural events including Namsan Beacon Mound Lighting Ceremony, which show a communication means of the Joseon Dynasty, are held by the Seoul Metropolitan Government to promote Korean traditional culture to citizens as well as Korean and international tourists and provide an opportunity to enjoy Korean culture.
